How Long After Installation Can Home Appliances Be Used?

Home appliances require different waiting times after installation before use, depending on their type. Some appliances need to be left to stand or undergo preparation to ensure safety and extend their lifespan.

1. Refrigerator: It is recommended to let it stand for 4–24 hours before plugging it in.

Reason: During transportation, lubricating oil from the compressor may have flowed into the pipes. Letting it stand allows the oil to flow back to the compressor, preventing insufficient lubrication that could lead to wear or damage after powering on.

Waiting Time: Generally recommended 24 hours (for safety); If the ambient temperature is high (e.g., in summer), this can be shortened to 8 hours; In winter or after long-distance transportation, 12–24 hours is recommended.

After Powering On: Run it unloaded for 8–24 hours first, and then put food in after the compressor stops to reduce wear and tear from continuous cooling.

2. Electric Water Heater: Fill with water and vent air before turning on the power. This takes approximately 30–60 minutes.

Steps:
Open the inlet valve to fill the inner tank with water;
Open the hot water tap to vent air from the pipes and inner tank;
Only turn on the power to heat water after hot water is flowing continuously without bubbles.

Caution: Do not dry-burn; this will burn out the heating element.
